Beginning tomorrow, well be reporting on a number of JazzFest activities directly from New Orleans. But, today, we look back on a unique weekend collaboration. Saturday night bassist Tony Hall (Spyboy, Dave Matthews & Friends), Skerik and Eric Krasno joined Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk for a series of Mardi Gras staples at the Howlin Wolf. A jam-packed nightno pun intendedthe bill also included PBS and a late-night super-group featuring Stanton Moore, Leo Nocentelli, Rob Mercurio and Rich Vogel.
