The New Deal, which announced that it would take a break from touring in 2004 has relented. The band which performed a one-off gig at the Toronto Jazz Fest last month has confirmed four US shows, with the promise of more to follow. The group will open for Talib Kweli at the University of Vermont’s Patrick Gym on September 25, followed by a date in Rochester on October 29 at the Water Street Music Hall, a show in Ithaca, NY at Castaways on November 18 and a gig the next night at the TLA in Philadelphia.
