Rob Wasserman will package three of his best-known recordings into the new box set Trilogy, due on Rounder Records August 3rd. As its title suggests, this deluxe package will feature the bassman’s Solo, Duos and Trios discs, which originally hit stores in the ’80s and early ’90s. Featuring several noted guests, Duos places Wasserman alongside the likes of Lou Reed and Aaron Neville, while a Jerry Garcia/Edie Brickell/Wasserman combo is one of the unique pairings offered on Trios. This three-disc set will also be augmented with new notes and commentary by Wasserman and his collaborators, as well as 24-bit remastering by Joe Gastwirt.
