Tornadoes touched down in the vicinity of the Summer Camp festival on Saturday leading the promoters in conjunction with the local police to shut down the event. The story might have ended here but for the fact that the bands scheduled to perform at Summer Camp on that day decided that they owed it to the crowd to eventually take the stage. So many hours later, once the greenish-hued skies cleared, Umphreys McGee performed a late night set. The other groups opted to remain on site and perform during the day on Monday with notable sets from Oteil and the Peacemakers, Keller Williams, Jazz Mandolin Project and moe. (moe. bassist Rob Derhak appeared despite the fact that he was supposed to return home for his wedding anniversary). JMPs Jamie Masefield and Jon Fishman stepped in during moe.s concluding set with Masefield playing on Timmy Tucker and Head and Fishman adding percussion to Y.O.Y. (which reportedly included a Bathtub Gin tease).
