Addison Groove Project bassist John Hall who has been off the road undergoing cancer treatment since June, performed with the band once again on New Year’s Eve. Hall appeared during the evening’s final song, ‘Hooptie Ride Marauders.’ This show which took place at the Paradise in Boston also incorporated guest musicians, with Brian O’Connell (Uncle Sammy/Gordon Stone) performing on Billy Preston’s ‘Outta Space’ which segued into Stevie Wonder’s ‘Boogie On Reggae Woman.’ In addition, guitarist Chris Michetti, who opened the night with his band RAQ joined in during ‘Groove In Green.’ Addison (which incidentally is named after Hall’s father), will continue to perform for the near future with keyboardist Rob Marscher contributing basslines.
