Particle welcomed violinist Lili Haydn and saxophonist Topaz to the stage last night at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City. Haydn, who has performed with varied artists ranging from the Los Angeles Philharmonic to Porno for Pyros to Hootie & the Blowfish, has opened a few shows for Particle this week. She stepped in for Sun Mar 11, exchanging melody lines with keyboardist Steve Molitz. Topaz, who has collaborated with the band twice before, joined for Simulator.
In other news, Particle has confirmed plans for a two-night Halloween run at Irving Plaza in New York on October 31 and November 1. The band plans to announce a specific theme for Halloween in the next week or so. Both shows will follow Widespread Panics concerts at Madison Square Garden. An on-sale date has not yet been set, but is expected in the next couple of weeks.
Particle plays tonight at the Starr Hill Music Hall in Charlottesville, VA. For the complete schedule, visit the official website.
