Phish bassist Mike Gordon collaborated with his longtime friend Col. Bruce Hampton, and his band, The Codetalkers Saturday at Jakes Toadhouse in Atlanta. Gordon, along with Auburn, Alabama disc jockey Wildman Steve emerged for the Bobby Lee Rodgers instrumental When The World Comes Tumblin Down, which was sandwiched around Turn On Your Lovelight and eventually returned to ‘Lovelight.’ At one point, Gordon’s lead guitar lines comingled with Hampton’s vocals during the latter. Mike performed earlier in the evening with Phish at Hi-Fi Buys Amphitheater.
