Al Schnier and Willie Nelson sat in with The Dead last night at Vernon Downs Raceway in Vernon, NY. Willie took the stage in the first set for Loser, Big Boss Man and Me and My Unlce. Schnier emerged in the second set for Estimated Prophet -> Samson and Delilah. Both Nelson and moe. opened the show.
Willie, who is touring with The Dead on the current leg of the tour, also joined the band on Friday and Saturday at Tweeter Waterfront in Camden, NJ. Saturdays show featured a guest appearance by Greg Osby, who played saxophone for much of the second set, including an extended take on Eyes of the World.
