Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe has announced its spring tour, which kicks off with a three-night stand at The Fillmore in San Francisco March 27 – 29 (there will also be a warm up show at Solana Beach’s Belly Up on March 20). Then it’s off to the East Coast for dates in Florida, South Carolina, Virginia, Massachusetts, Washington DC, Pennsylvania, Vermont, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. Highlights include a two-night run at the Paradise in Boston on April 8 and 9, a co-bill with Vida Blue at Philadelphia’s Electric Factory on April 11 and two shows at the Variety Theater in Atlanta on April 18 and 19. The tour will also feature appearances by the Russo-Benevento Duo, Fishbone and Toots and the Maytals.
Sleep will be scarce for KDTU and its fans in New Orleans this spring. The band will play five sunrise shows during Jazz Fest: April 25 and 26 at Tipitina’s, May 1 and 2 at the House of Blues and May 3 back at Tips. Show times have not yet been announced, but doors will open at 1 a.m. for the late night gigs. Bring your sunglasses for the ride back to the hotel.
The band’s complete schedule is up at www.karldenson.com.
