Saxophonists Hope Clayburn (Deep Banana Blackout) and John Stewart will tour with The Motet in November. Stewart, who toured with the group last fall, will also continue on through December. Both musicians will join the band beginning on November 13 at Recher Theater in Towson, MD.
Meanwhile, Clayburn’s side project – Hope Clayburn’s Big Black Booty – will take the stage November 8 at Baylees Cafn in Blacksburg, VA. The soul/jazz quintet also plans to release a CD in the spring.
The Motet will play the music of Stevie Wonder at its Halloween show tomorrow at the Fox Theater in Boulder, CO. The concert will be webcast through the Digital Club Network. For the Motets full schedule, visit www.themotet.com.
