moe. drummer Vinnie Amico took the stage with Jerkwater Ruckus last night at Club Caroline in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Amico joined the band at the beginning of the second set for all three parts of Pink Floyds Another Brick in the Wall, Jerkwater Ruckus Como and Led Zeppelins The Lemon Song. Amico, who has performed with the group once before, has known the bands percussionist Rich Lemire for several years. It was a lot of fun, says Amico. We did The Lemon Song and Ive never got to do it with a band. I just heard the bass player play the riff and we went into it. It was a very enthusiastic version.
Amico will play with Small Appliance’s tonight at Savannahs in Albany, NY. The line-up also includes vocalist Chris Noel, guitarist Jeff Gonzalense and bassist Kevin Faulkner (who performed with Moon Boot Lover for a brief time in the mid-90s).
Jerkwater Ruckus plays Saturday at Valencia in Burlington, VT. For more information, visit www.jerkwaterruckus.com.
