Govt Mule will appear on Last Call with Carson Daly tonight at 1:30 a.m. EST (technically in the early hours of Wednesday). The group recorded a performance of Beautifully Broken for the show last Tuesday at NBC Studios in New York City. Joining the Mule is bassist Stefan Lessard (Dave Matthews Band) and keyboardist Danny Louis.
The bands new album, The Deep End Volume II is in stores today. In addition, the Rising Low documentary is also available on DVD and VHS.
Govt Mule kicks off its fall tour Wednesday at the Orpheum Theater in Boston. Due to a scheduling conflict, guest bassist Jason Newsted (formerly of Metallica) will not be playing with the band as originally planned. Bassists George Porter Jr. (The Meters) and Greg Rzab (Black Crowes) will both tour with the group and perform on a rotating basis.
