Tony Furtado and Aaron Johnston took the stage with String Cheese Incident over the weekend at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Johnston (Comotion) added percussion to several songs on both Friday and Saturday night. Furtado emerged Saturday to play banjo at the end of the first set for Freedom Jazz Dance and Restless Wind and then returned at the beginning of the second set for Elvis’ Wild Ride and Sittin’ on Top of the World.
Fridays show began with keyboardist Kyle Hollingsworth – donning a white tuxedo – serenading the audience at the famous Radio City organ. The curtain then ascended, revealing the rest of the band dressed in white tuxes.
String Cheese heads to Japan this week for two shows at the Fuji Rock Festival in Nigata. For details, visit the official website.
