A former incarnation of Moon Boot Lover reunited Sunday at the Gathering of the Vibes as all four members of Soulive sat in with Peter Prince for Further on Down the Road. Moon Boots second line-up in 1997 featured Prince, bassist Jon Hawes and Neal and Alan Evans (now of Soulive). The quartet recorded Live Down Deep during this period. Hawes later left the group (he also played with Percy Hill for a while) leaving Moon Boot Lover as an organ trio. Sundays reunion marked the first time Prince and the Evans brothers have performed together since Halloween of 97.
