Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey will release its new album, Live in New York City on July 2. The CD is comprised of material recorded over two nights at the Knitting Factory in New York. It features special guest appearances by Chris Lovejoy (Charlie Hunter Quartet) and Chris Theberg (Groove Collective).
Bassist Reed Mathis and keyboardist Brian Haas recently finished a week-long tour with legendary drummer Mike Clark (Headhunters). Jacob Fred’s current tour includes performances at the High Sierra Music Festival over July 4th weekend in Quincy, CA, Camp Buzz July 20 in Oxford, OH, the Telluride Jazz Celebration August 1 and 2 in Telluride, CO and the Berkshire Mountain Music Festival August 10 in Great Barrington, MA.
