Rykodisc will release the latest studio effort from The Slip on July 9. Angels Come On Time was recorded at the Barn outside Burlington, VT and produced by the trio. In contrast with groups last disc Live Is My Jumby, Angels Come On Time focuses a bit more on The Slips vocal tunes. The Fully Celebrated Orchestras Timo Shanko also appears on saxophone.
The Slip will next perform Lupos Heartbreak Hotel in Providence on June 28, although bassist Marc Friedman will take the stage with his Kram Dangle project at the Cambridge, MA House of Blues, this Friday June 7.
