Several special guests joined Trey Anastasio and his band this weekend. Michael Franti (Spearhead) emerged for Small Axe, which opened the second set of Fridays show at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. (Anastasio also sat in with Spearhead for Sometimes during the opening set). Guitarist Derek Trucks took the stage for Cayman Review Saturday at Mountain Aire in Angels Camp, CA. Trucks remained for Night Speaks to a Woman, which also featured bassist Les Claypool. Guitarist Will Bernard joined the band for Last Tube Sunday night at Mountain Aire.
On Sunday, saxophonist Peter Apfelbaum and trombonist Andy Moroz (both of Treys band) sat in with Will Bernard and Motherbug on Mountain Aires second stage.
