Vocalist Javier Colon has left the Derek Trucks Band to pursue a solo career. The band will perform with guest vocalists in the coming weeks, including Trucks’ wife, Susan Tedeschi, who will take the stage with the group May 3 at The Canal Club in Richmond, VA, May 4 at Salisbury State University in Salisbury, MD and May 6 at Washington & Lee University in Lexington, VA.
The Derek Trucks Band will release its debut on Columbia Records this summer. The album features guest vocalists Solomon Burke, Ruben Blades and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, among others.
