Robert Randolph and the Family Band are currently in the studio with the Blind Boys of Alabama working on a new album. Ben Harper will also appear on several tracks. The Blind Boys, who recently won a Grammy for their album, Spirit of the Century, will perform at Jazz Fest in New Orleans on May 2. They will also open for Galactic at the Saenger Theater on May 4. A release date for the new album has not yet been set.
The band plays next April 13 at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH. For more information, visit www.blindboys.com.
