Several New Orleans bands will take the stage for a benefit show this Sunday, December 9 at the Howlin Wolf in New Orleans. Performers include George Porter Jr. and his Runnin Pardners, Cyril Neville, The Radiators, Papa Grows Funk and Mean Willie Green. Billed as Michelles Ball Yall, the concert is a benefit for a local woman who suffered serious injuries from a car accident. Michelle is the wife of Rock Tornabene, who has worked in the New Orleans music scene for years, with such bands as the Neville Brothers and The Radiators. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Tornabene family to help pay for medical costs.
Showtime is 6 p.m. Special guests are expected. For tickets, visit Ticketweb.com.
