A benefit for Leftover Salmons Mark Vann will take place this Sunday, November 18 at B.B. Kings in New York City. Vann was recently diagnosed with melanoma and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. The event, which is being billed as Jammin’ For Salmon, will feature performances by Mike Gordon (Phish), Gary El Buho Gazaway, Eric Kalb (Deep Banana Blackout), Scott Murawski (Max Creek), Aaron Johnson (Jazz is Dead, Commotion) and Floyd King. The line-up also includes members of Railroad Earth, The Motet, The Blooming Daddies and the Josh Dodus Band (VH-1s Bands On The Run).
Four ‘Leftover Salmon & Friends’ benefit shows for Vann are also being held in Colorado this week.
All proceeds from the both the New York and Colorado shows will be donated to the Mark Vann Fund.
