Members of Vinyl performed with OM Trio this weekend in the Bay Area. Friday at the Last Day Saloon in San Francisco, Vinyl trumpeter Danny Cao sat in with OM Trio on The Meters Cissy Strut and Maceo Parkers Shake Everything You Got. Saturday at Sierra Vista in Tahoe City, Vinyl saxophonist Doug Thomas joined OM Trio on its original, The Color Grey Suits You Will. All members of both bands then jammed on Duke Ellingtons Caravan, which segued into John Scofields Hottentot.
