Because of last weeks tragic events, Phil Lesh canceled his benefit concert at the Fillmore this past Saturday night. In a statement posted to his website Lesh said, I must listen to my heart, which tells me to stop and absorb these life-changing events before I can perform on stage againI hope to take the next couple of weeks to reflect on how the world that my children live in has changed. I feel that we as a nation still have much to face. The nation, and especially New York City, has shown extraordinary courage and love in the face of these terrorist attacks. May we continue to react with courage, tolerance, and humanity; and always with love in the dream. Tickets to the Fillmore show can be refunded through GDTSTOO or Ticketmaster.
Lesh will no longer perform with Govt Mule at the Warfield this Thursday as originally scheduled. Phil & Friends fall tour will go on as planned. The tour kicks off November 7 at Alliant Energy Center in Madison, WI.
