The Slip has announced that its festival, S.L.A.C. Fest, will take place tomorrow as scheduled. The band released the following statement: Despite the worldwide tragedy, we are still going ahead with S.L.A.C. Fest. While our hearts and thoughts go out to those who have suffered a great loss these past few days, we nevertheless plan on having a fun and safe festival, and we hope that you will all still join us.
The festival will be held in Coventry, RI and will also feature performances by the John Scofield Band, UM(featuring: Hal Crook, Bob Gullotti, Dave Zinno), Gruvis Malt, Paul Geremia and Leslie Helpert. For details, visit www.theslip.com.
