Last night Bob Weir hosted a live broadcast from TRI Studios. Weir drew in a number of familiar faces for this performance, which opened with four solo acoustic songs: “The Music Never Stopped,” “Me and My Uncle,” “K.C. Moan” and “Looks Like Rain.” Then drummer Jay Lane and bassist Rob Wasserman appeared for “Corrina,” “Friend of the Devil” and “Easy Answers.” The group next expanded to a quartet with Jeff Chimenti appearing for “Easy Answers” and “Days Between.” The first set closed with the band expanding once more as Steve Kimock contributed guitar to “Josephine” which segued into “The Other One.” The second set saw current RatDog bassist Robin Sylvester come out at the beginning during “Ashes and Glass” and “Two Djinn” before a four piece horn section joined in for the remainder of the performance, which saw the band perform “Sugaree,” followed by a move from “Cassidy” into “Bird Song” and then full-segued finale that included “West L.A. Fadeaway,” “The Other One” and then back into “Bird Song” and “Cassidy.”
