The Original Meters—Art Neville, George Porter Jr., Leo Nocentelli and Zigaboo Modeliste—will perform at New Orleans’ Howlin’ Wolf on May 5. The performance will take place at night during the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. The four musicians reunited for the first time in a number of years for a set at Bonnaroo this past June and swiftly added some San Francisco shows in August as part of the Outside Lands festival. The Meters returned to New Orleans in October for a set at The Voodoo Music Experience where they were joined by onetime Meter singer/percussionist Cyril Neville. Both Rebirth Brass Band and Papa Grows Funk will support The Meters at the Howlin’ Wolf.
