The Allman Brothers Band will kick off their annual run of shows at New York’s Beacon Theater on Friday. As in year’s past, a number of ABB-themed shows and parties are scheduled to take place during the group’s extended New York residency. On March 17, Hittin’ the Note magazine will host their annual party at New York’s Iridium. Guitarist Geoff Achison will perform during the party with a special band featuring multi-instrumentalist Randall Bramblett (Sea Level, Gregg Allman, Steve Winwood), drummer Yonrico Scott (Derek Trucks Band, Royal Southern Brotherhood) and bassist Ted Pecchio (Susan Tedeschi Band). The event will kick off at 2 PM. The same lineup of musicians will also back Achison at Live Oak, FL’s Suwannee Springfest on March 23 and 24.
