The LeeVees are a Hanukkah-themed side-project led by Guster’s Adam Gardner and The Zambonis’ Dave Schneider. The indie pop group released the holiday album Hanukkah Rocks in 2005, which was produced by none other than The National/Interpol/Trey Anastasio producer Peter Katis. The LeeVees have released a few new songs since then, and they usually regroup for a few shows every Hanukkah. This year the band will play East Coast shows timed with Hanukkah. Their brief run will kick off in Gardner’s hometown of Portland, ME at Congregation Bet Ha’am at 3 PM on December 9. Then, the band will head south for a show and candle lighting at Saint Petersburg, FL’s Congregation B’nai Israel on December 11. Finally, The LeeVees will close their Hanukkah sprint at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl on 15. Additional acts are expected to join the lineup for Saturday’s show.
