Allison Russell has confirmed an extensive North American tour supporting her third studio album, In The Hour of Chaos, which was released on July 10 via Fantasy Records. The shows, which arrive on the heels of Russell’s summer tour with Sarah McLachlan, include a headlining engagement at New York’s Irving Plaza and a stop in her hometown of Montreal, as well as an appearance at the famed Ryman Theater in the singer’s adopted home of Nashville supporting Neko Case. Earlier this year, Russell and McLachlan also honored Joni Mitchell at the Juno Awards as she received the Lifetime Achievement Award.

In addition to the new series of tour dates, Russell has released an official video for the In The Hour of Chaos track “Really Real,” which can be seen below. She also recently appeared on the Norah Jones Is Playing Along podcast, where the musicians engaged in several duets and discussed Russell’s Broadway debut as Persephone in the Tony-winning musical Hadestown, as well as In The Hour of Chaos and their deep friendship.

Russell’s upcoming run is slated to kick off at Asheville, NC’s The Orange Peel on October 15. Before then, she will make a one-off appearance at Easthampton, MA’s Arcadia Folk Festival on August 29.
