The Disco Biscuits have had a truly top-tier year, returning with their seventh studio album and space opera Revolution in Motion, staging the second-annual BISCOLAND festival and unveiling their first-ever SeaBisco Alaska cruise—and the band is just getting started. On next Wednesday, Oct. 30, the band will kick off its fall tour with a performance at Covington, Ky.’s Madison Theatre, then promptly hike out to The Caverns in Pelham, Tenn., for its highly-anticipated Halloween series.
One week out from the event, the quartet has finally offered up some details on the proceedings, plotting a different themed night for each show. On Halloween proper, The Disco Biscuits will present a “gRAVEyard” themed show, coupled with the subheading “Movie Night” for an added layer of allure. The following evening, Nov. 1, will show the group will invite the audience to “Circus Bisco,” a carnival theme that longtime fans will recognize as a recurrence. Finally, for Nov. 2, the band will embrace their setting with a “Cave Dwellers” theme, encouraging fans to get primal for the grand finale. To encourage audience participation, the group has also shared a costume guide for each theme, linked below.
Beyond the Halloween series, Disco Biscuits guitarist Jon Gutwillig and keyboardist Aron Magner have tossed out another curveball for the band’s jam-packed end of year plans, announcing a pair of intimate acoustic duo shows at New York’s Iridium jazz and blues club on Dec. 4 and 5. These shows will strip away the flair to present the unique pair’s instrumental virtuosity as they cover Bisco fan favorites, with some scattered electronic moments tossed in. Tickets are available now at theiridium.com.
