Earlier today, John Medeski, Joe Russo and Marc Ribot shared that they would come together on Tuesday, Sept. 12, for a one-night stand at The Sultan Room in New York. The performance has been billed as a benefit concert, which will assist in raising funds for the Music Workers Alliance.
The chosen organization aims to empower industry employees by “engaging in collective action to create a community where music is valued financially and culturally, and music workers benefit and achieve dignity in our lives,” according to their official website.
Similarly, Medeski, Russo and Darkside’s Dave Harrington pulled a similar trio formation two years prior when they participated in the first-ever Brooklyn Comes Alive event, which took place at The Brooklyn Mirage on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021.

Tickets for the newly announced benefit concert are on sale now.
