Today (March 29), less than a week after his 75th birthday, Elton John announced the final tour dates for the North American leg of his “Elton John Farewell Yellow Brick Road The Final Tour.” The eleven evenings mark the final shows in North America to be added to the tour.
Elton posted on his socials: “It’s hard to believe that after tomorrow in St. Louis, I’ll have just a handful of shows left before I wrap up my final arena performances in the United States. This year will see my grand finale in North America, playing stadiums all around the country, with the most spectacular production I’ve ever had. Thank you for sharing this journey with me. I cherish these memories we’re making together. It has been nothing short of incredible and I look forward to seeing you very soon one last time, on my Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour.”
The new dates include performances in East Rutherford, N.J., Foxborough, Mass., Toronto, Vancouver and Phoenix, Ariz., an added second and third performance at Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium, along with stops in Santa Clara, Calif., Tacoma, Wash. and San Diego.
The final show in North America will see the music icon perform his 2,000th concert capping off a touring run that has stopped in all 50 states alongside 108 shows in New York City alone. The Rocket Man has been touring for 52 years and has played for tens of millions over the years.
The final run of dates in North America will kick off in Philadelphia on July 15 and conclude with his three-night run at Dodger Stadium on Nov. 17, 19 and 20.
Tickets will go on sale to the public Wednesday, April 6 at 10 a.m. local time. Find tickets here.
