On Feb. 5,  Soul Coughing’s Mike Doughty and Sebastian Steinberg performed together for the first time in 22 years.

The performance was shared via Mike Doughty’s Youtube page and dubbed “an impromptu 50% Soul Coughing reunion” in the caption.

The unrehearsed performance occurred during a Wilkins Family Hour performance at Largo in Los Angeles when Sebastian Steinberg unexpectedly invited Doughty to the stage to play two of their Soul Coughing songs including, “Super Bon Bon” and “True Dreams of Wichita.”

Mike Doughty will continue his L.A. residency at Harvard and Stone this Friday. He will perform alongside his Ghost of Vroom bandmates Andrew “Scrap” Livingston, drummer Madden Klass and a rotating cast of musicians on Feb. 18 and 25.

Tickets for the remaining L.A. Residency dates are on sale and can be purchased here
