Today, the Recording Academy has announced its nominees for the 64th annual Grammy Awards. Jon Batiste, Brandi Carlile, Blues Traveler, Billy Strings, Los Lobos and Béla Fleck are among the artists up for top honors when the award show airs on Jan. 31 on CBS. 

Jon Batiste snagged eleven nominations including Record Of The Year for “Freedom,” Album Of The Year for We Are, Best Traditional R&B Performance for “I Need You,” Best Improvised Jazz Solo for “Bigger Than Us,” and Best Jazz Instrumental Album for Jazz Selections: Music From And Inspired By Soul, among many others. 

Brandi Carlile received a nomination for Album Of The Year and Best Record Of The Year for Right On Time, in addition to Song Of The Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for the title track. 

Best American Roots Performance featured a slew of talented artists including Billy Strings, Jon Batiste, Béla Fleck with The Blind Boys Of Alabama, and Brandi Carlile as featured on Brandy Clarke’s track “Same Devil.”

Finally, Blues Traveler received a nomination for Best Traditional Blues Album for Traveler’s Blues, and Los Lobos also received mention for Best Americana Album for Native Sons. Béla Fleck also claimed a nomination for Best Bluegrass Album Of The Year for My Bluegrass Heart
