Former Tedeschi Trucks Band trumpeter and current member of Anderson .Paak’s Free Nationals, Maurice “Mo Betta” Brown recently made an appearance on Sway in the Morning.

In addition to some impressive trumpet and rap improv, the Grammy winner discussed his work with Paak and Kanye West, as well as his upcoming album, which is yet to be officially announced.

“I feel like the more that you zone in on the music… and are really honest with yourself about what you put out and not worried about what everyone else is saying, that’s how you can touch people,” Brown says at one point.
