The Diesel Xperiments will take the stage tonight at the Living Room in Providence, RI. The Xperiements are a rotating cast of musicians assembled by Psychedelic Breakfast guitarist Tim Palmieri. Tonights line-up includes Palmieri, Paul Wolstencroft (Jiggle), Bill Carbone (Miracle Orchestra), Dan Edinburgh (The Usual Unusuals) and Jeff Gitelman (The Usual Unusuals).
I try to come up with new themes for the xperiments and usually use different musicians for each show, says Palmieri. So far we’ve done Americana, Acoustica, Grunge, Zappa vs. the Grateful Dead, RHCP vs. P-Funk and some other stuff as well. Tonight is Junk ‘n Jams, which is Jazz/Funk and Jams. There will be some really eclectic material spanning all decades, but we focus on the vintage.
