Galactic has just announced the addition of several Midwest dates to its upcoming Freezestyle 2003 Tour. The expanded itinerary includes stops in Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio and Kentucky. The shows will feature opening act Lyrics Born (Blackalicious, DJ Shadow) with Joyo Velarde and DJ D-Sharp. As a sequel to last years Freezestyle 2002 Tour, which included the Triple Threat DJs, this jaunt will feature onstage collaboration between Galactic, the DJs and the MCs. Sound Tribe Sector Nine will also open one show, on February 22 in Detroit. The tour kicks off January 23 at Tipitinas in New Orleans, as the venue celebrates its 25th anniversary. Corey Harris and Henry Butler will also appear.
