Robert Randolph and the Family Band have announced their initial March and April itinerary. The tour kicks off March 8 at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie, NY with an opening slot for B.B. King. From there the band heads south and eventually west, making stops in South Carolina, Florida, Alabama, North Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California, for two shows at the Fillmore in San Francisco on April 4 and 5. The North Mississippi Allstar will open both of these concerts.
The band will then head to Australia for four shows before returning to the U.S. for the second weekend of Jazz Fest. Also look for more Northwest dates to be added in early April. More details are forthcoming.
