Pedal steel guitarist Gordon Stone collaborated with Max Creek Saturday at Sterling Stage in Hannibal, NY. Stone sat in for much of the first set, which included When That Evening Sun Goes Down, Silver Jack and Windows > After Midnight > I Know You Rider.
On Friday night, Phish bassist Mike Gordon joined the Gordon Stone Band at Red Square in Burlington, VT. Mike stepped in at the end of the first set for a few bluegrass standards including On and On.
Stone also spent some time recording with RAQ on Friday afternoon. The band is currently in the studio working on its new album, due this fall.
Creek plays Friday at the Gathering of the Vibes in Mariaville, NY. The bands complete schedule is available at www.maxcreek.com.
