Former Jefferson Airplane and New Riders of the Purple Sage drummer Spencer Dryden has been beset by health issues as well as a fire as of late which has led a number of musicians to come to his aid. They will do so at a benefit performance and silent auction which will take place in San Francisco on May 22 at Slim’s. The line-up will include Bob Weir and Warren Haynes with the Flying Other Brothers, Peter Rowan & Pete Sears with David Nelson & Friends, Wavy Gravy, Chet Helms and numerous others. Many of the auction items will be noted by Drydens former bandmates over the years. Advance tickets are now on sale at Slim’s and on-line.
