So how do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice…the works of Vermont composers. At least that holds true on September 14 when the Vermont Youth Orchestra will debut at the venerable music venue and perform selections written by its home state’s musicians. The VYO will present the works of music director Troy Peters, along with those of Ernie Stires, Thomas L. Read, David Ludwig, David Gunn and Trey Anastasio. Featured soloists on the individual pieces include Ruotao Mao (violin), Erin Gustafson (oboe) and the aforementioned Anastasio.
