Warren Haynes’ 16th annual Christmas Jam will once again take place at North Carolina’s Asheville Civic Center Arena. This year’s festivities will be held on Saturday, December 18, at 7PM. As in years past, the all-star jam session will feature a mix of longtime Haynes associates and special guests, as well as a special acoustic set from the guitarist himself. At press time, Haynes’ band, Gov’t Mule, is the only act confirmed, though one can hope for a cross-section of the busy players’ ‘Friends’ or ‘Brothers.’ The Allman Brothers Band, Blues Traveler, Bob Weir, moe., North Mississippi All-Stars, Phil Lesh and Friends, Robert Randolph and Mike Gordon are among the acts who have performed at the Christmas Jam in years past. Like always, this year’s Christmas Jam is a charity event, benefiting Habitat for Humanity.
