On Sunday Ronnie McCoury hosted his Pickin’ Party in Nashville, TN. In addition to performing with announced guests such as his father Del and Sam Bush, McCoury also received a surprise visit from an out-of town guest. Yonder Mountain String Band’s Jeff Austin was in town writing songs with frequent Del McCoury Band collaborator Shawn Camp and stopped by to join in on several instrumental tunes. Other guests included Kentucky Thunder’s Jim VanCleve and Rhonda Vincent & The Rage’s Josh Williams. The Del McCoury Band will next perform at Plymouth, NH’s Silver Cultural Arts Center on September 17.
