Commotion disrupted two of String Cheese Incident’s performances this week. On Wednesday, at Ithaca, NY’s State Theatre, a fire alarm was pulled during ‘Round the Wheel’ forcing the both fans and the band to evacuate the theater and preemptively end the night’s performance. Bill Nershi responded triumphantly, though, playing acoustic versions of ‘Barstool’ and ‘Texas’ for fans in the parking lot. Last night, a fan also jumped onstage during the band’s gig at Scranton’s Cultural Arts Center during ‘Under African Skies.’ Both the band and its crew were forced to restrain the stage jumper before he was arrested by local authorities. The group played on, however, and finished up its set. Also of note, the group debuted a new Kyle Hollingsworth number ‘Pack it Up’ and invited percussionist Chris Berry and guitarist Zivanai Masango onstage during ‘Mouna Bowa.’
