The Disco Biscuits will celebrate the release of their live album, Wind at Four to Fly, with a three-night run at South Burlington’s Higher Ground from April 13-15. The group’s debut appearance at the new Higher Ground will kick off the Disco Biscuits’ first spring tour since 2003. While specifics are forthcoming, the quartet says its extended run is scheduled to head south for shows in North Carolina, Virginia and Washington, DC and will be anchored by a three-night stand at new drummer Allen Aucoin’s Georgia stomping grounds. The Disco Biscuits will then return to the studio to begin work on their fifth studio album, the first since 2002’s Senor Boombox and then spend the summer touring the Central Plains States and West Coast. As for Wind at Four to Fly, we reported earlier this week, the recording will be released on April 18 through SCI Fidelity Records and will feature music from the Biscuits final performances with original drummer Sam Altman.
