Admittedly there are two separate admissions but this evening promises quite a twin bill at Manhattans Cutting Room. The night starts at 8PM with Joan Rivers, who will kvetch a bit in offering her unique comic stylings. Then at 10, Cochemea Cheme Gastelum will perform on saxophone, bass clarinet and flute with a project that also features Adam Deitch (Lettuce, John Scofield) Adam Scone (Mofro), Al Street (Sugarman 3) and special guests. Gastelum is calling his band Cochemea’s Conundrum and perhaps his conundrum is just what will tunes will perfectly complement Ms. Rivers’ smoky vocals (or not).
