In April of last year the Motets Dave Watts and Garrett Sayers joined ALOs Dan Lebowitz for a friends birthday festivities down in Mexico. Now the three have decided to continue their musical relationship beyond that one-off. magicgravy is the name they have selected for what is described as jazz-rooted, psychedelic improv. The group will perform three Colorado dates in early June: at Southern Sun in Boulder on the 5th, at First Street Pub in Nederland on the 7th and at Dulcinea’s in Denver on the 9th. It also seems reasonable to assume that the magicgravy momentum may well burble forward into the future as well.
