The North Mississippi Allstars will appear on the soundtrack for Snoop Doggs forthcoming hip-hop horror film, Hood of Horror. The trio contributes to a soundtrack which also features cuts from Snoop Dogg, Cool and Dre, and Al Kapone, the latter of whom records for Cody Dickinsons Diamond-D label. Shifting genres completely, the North Mississippi Allstars have also added a handful of acoustic shows to its spring schedule. In addition to its previously announced residency in Oxford, MS, the group will offer acoustic shows in several east coast markets, including a March 24 performance with Bettye Lavette at New Yorks BB King Blues Club. An electric version of the trio will also support Widespread Panic April 20 and 21 at Raleigh, NCs Alltel Pavilion.
