Last night on Long Island, former New Groove of the Month U-Melt returned to the stage after a couple weeks off the road for their first show at Wantagh’s Mulcahy’s. Near the beginning of U-Melts second set, keyboardist and guitarist Mike Katzman and Kevin Griffin (both from Reckoning and The Point) stepped up halfway through ‘Infectious Groove.’ This song then segued into a debut of Phishs ‘Character Zero’ (which as many of our readers have gleaned, was a tip of the cap to the venue, as the song references the Man Mulcahey). U-Melt’s next New York City performance will be aboard the Rocks Off Boat Cruise on Thursday, August 2nd. Reckoning will appear at The Oasis Cafe in New Paltz, New York this Saturday.
