Last month, Stanton Moore put out a call for music fans to aid drummer Johnny Vidacovich, who has developed arthritis in his right thumb. Next Wednesday, January 16, he will draw together a number of like-minded musicians at Tipitina’s to perform a benefit to aid his mentor. The roster of performers includes Galactic, Papa Grows Funk, Mark Mullins, Anders Osborne and a version of Garage A Trois with Robert Walter. Those who can’t make the performance, which will take place at Tipitina’s, can still donate to the cause, with the full details at Stanton’s site.
